It takes a village: Celonis celebrates its partner community at the 2024 Ecosystem Summit

Each and every one of our partners is a change-maker. They refuse the status quo and push instead for a better version of reality. So we dedicated the day before the official opening of our annual conference, Celosphere 2024, to an event exclusively for and about our partners.

As Celonis president Carsten Thoma said in the opening keynote of the Ecosystem Summit: “You are a huge reason why clients can actually make their processes work. The processes don’t just run, they actually need to work. And you know the difference between processes running and processes working. It takes a village. We know that behind every successful customer, there’s a fantastic partner.”

In the last year, Celonis has welcomed 150 new partners, while our existing clients have significantly expanded their Celonis usage because of the value they’re creating, with more than 1,300 newly started projects.

Malhar Kamdar, chief ecosystem officer at Celonis, also spoke on stage about how the growth of our partner ecosystem is backed up by investment in the next generation of Process Intelligence experts. Our Academic Alliance Program comprises 700 partner universities and has trained 65,000 students in the last 12 months.

Making processes work for people, companies and the planet

Thoma summarized how Celonis and its partners are helping clients make more decisions – the best decisions – at the right time and in real time.

“Our customers and your clients are embracing our vision of a world where processes actually work,” said Thoma, “where we can reduce waste through working processes, benefit people, and create value. And together we can keep building on that.”

He outlined Celonis’s roadmap, which includes extending the leading platform for Process Intelligence, giving AI the context it needs, and introducing trailblazing new opportunities.

The keynote highlighted just how much goes on under the hood of the Celonis Process Intelligence platform. The platform is system-agnostic, vendor-neutral, boasts a data ingestion capability like no other, unparalleled data availability and freshness of data, plus scalability. On top of all that, a data foundation is combined with partners’ specific business knowledge, and an open API ecosystem integrates with clients’ existing tech stacks, while orchestrating processes and automations.

Since the launch of the Process Intelligence Graph, we’ve seen partners use Celonis in entirely new ways, opening up new use cases and creating massive value for partners, their clients and the world of business at large. Kamdar outlined core areas where Celonis is helping partners take their projects to the next level.

New use cases

As clients turn to partners to bring AI opportunities to life, our vendors can use the Celonis platform to find and prioritize that value, deploy AI more effectively because it’s informed by business context, and monitor performance. Celonis partners can now better guide clients as they navigate the rapid shift to the more autonomous enterprise of the future – and deliver on the ROI that AI promises.

New apps

Our partners have always been incredible co-innovators, and we have now introduced a stepchange with our new platform apps program, Celostone. We are going beyond just accelerators and assets. Celostone offers fully fledged, truly partner-powered apps. It combines our partners’ unique industry and domain expertise with Celonis’s app-building best practice and the latest product and platform capability. This means our ecosystem can scale solutions faster and accelerate time to value for customers.

The Ecosystem Summit keynote ended by giving partners an exclusive preview of the next day’s product and strategy announcements. Each one is designed to help our partners make the most of new commercial opportunities and transform their business at unprecedented levels. “We are on a mission to make processes work,” said Celonis Product Management SVP Alex Lowe, “to make them really work. It takes all of your insight, all of your efforts, all of your expertise to help drive this vision.”
