In this spirit, we sat down with Nelissa Arriaga, Benefits Manager at Celonis and co-chair of the Latinx@Celonis Business Resource Group (BRG), to hear about her heritage, career, and what Latinx Heritage Month means to her.

What does Latinx Heritage Month mean to you?
"Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate and honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of our communities. As a proud Dominican and someone from a multiracial family, it’s a time to reflect on the diverse experiences that have shaped who I am."
"My family’s background has taught me to appreciate different perspectives, and this month is a chance to showcase the beauty and strength of our collective heritage. It’s also a moment for recognizing the diversity within the Latinx community, as we come from so many different backgrounds, yet share common threads of resilience, unity, and family."
How has being a part of Latinx@Celonis impacted your experience?
"Being co-chair of the Latinx BRG at Celonis has been a deeply enriching experience. It’s provided a platform to connect with fellow Latinx employees, celebrate our heritage, and advocate for initiatives that promote inclusion. Because of my family I have always valued diversity, and the BRG allows me to foster that same sense of inclusion at work.
The sense of community we’ve built within Celonis has not only made me feel more connected, but it’s also allowed me to contribute to fostering a more inclusive workplace. Seeing the BRG grow and positively impact our company culture has been incredibly rewarding."

How have you grown at Celonis?
"Since joining Celonis, I’ve grown both professionally and personally. Leading the Latinx BRG has honed my leadership skills and deepened my understanding of how to drive meaningful change in an organization. I’ve also expanded my knowledge in my role as a benefits manager, staying ahead of industry trends and ensuring our employees are well-supported. Coming from a multiracial family, I’ve always embraced different viewpoints, and being at Celonis has further sharpened my ability to navigate diverse environments. The supportive culture at Celonis has pushed me to continuously learn and challenge myself, which I’m truly grateful for."
