At Celosphere 2024, its annual user conference, Celonis announced the Celonis Data Core (Celocore for short), a platform enhancement that makes getting data into Celonis easier and once it’s in, makes transforms, loads and queries faster, delivering up to 20x performance versus the competition.

Over the past year, more Celonis customers have connected more source systems to our platform than ever, as they use Celonis to manage mission-critical processes. For example, a leading logistics provider has been loading data into Celonis from 80+ source systems. It needs that data updated every five minutes or less to monitor railway capacity and optimize freight in real-time. A global tech company that’s transforming online grocery and logistics with advanced technology is currently processing 20+ billion records in Celonis and is planning to quadruple its data volumes soon to analyze seasonal demand.

For these companies and those like them, data availability, freshness, and scalability are critical to ensure they make the right decisions at the right time, every time. 

With Celocore, we’re giving customers more options to integrate data from their source systems, this includes updating our connections and improved data model coverage for Oracle—a gamechanger for industries like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing, and in regions like North America. Customers can quickly and easily push data from third-party tools like Databricks or Snowflake—avoiding weeks or even months of setup and approvals. Our custom Extractor Builder is now compatible with more systems. Celocore slashes extraction, transformation, load (ETL) and query times, enabling customers to see updates from their source systems directly in their apps faster than ever.

With Celocore customers can expect up to 14x improvement in speed and 20x the volume compared to competition. “It’s a revolution of our end-to-end data pipeline,” said Divya Krishnan, VP of product marketing at Celonis, during the Celosphere keynote.

What customers are and can achieve with Celocore

Celonis customers can now run workloads at a scale that was never possible before, which is particularly good news for customers in high-transaction-volume industries such as retail, science and pharma, consumer products, and manufacturing, where vast amounts of data are the norm.

For example, Celocore has delivered significant performance increases for one of the largest pharmacy chains in the United States. It’s one of SAP’s top 15 largest implementations—analyzing over five billion rows of data. Early tests are indicating a 10x improvement in data freshness, enabling teams to act on relevant insights more effectively. Users have also benefited from dashboard load times being slashed by 95% to less than one second – the blink of an eye.
